NCC delegations from India, Bhutan, and Maldives meet President Paudel
President Paudel, as the Supreme Commander of the Nepalese Army, highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the nations through such programs.

KATHMANDU: A delegation from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India, Bhutan, and the Maldives, arrived in Nepal to participate in the Youth Exchange Program 2025.
The group, which is in the country to take part in the event marking Maha Shivaratri and the 262nd anniversary of the Nepalese Army’s establishment, paid a courtesy visit to President Ram Chandra Paudel at the Presidential Residence, Sheetal Niwas, today.
Nepal’s Army has long facilitated exchanges between cadets from neighboring countries, promoting the sharing of skills, culture, and traditions.
President Paudel, as the Supreme Commander of the Nepalese Army, highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the nations through such programs.
The Youth Exchange Program is expected to foster a deeper understanding of social, economic, and cultural realities, playing a crucial role in enhancing diplomatic relations.
The visiting delegation, consisting of 34 representatives, also included key figures such as Upadhyaya Yam Prasad Dhakal, Executive Director of Nepal’s National Service Corps, Major General Gurvirpal Singh, Director of India’s NCC, Sangye Choden, Director of the Bhutan Scouts Association, and Rifan Ali, leader of the Maldivian delegation.
