KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada has urged the government to ensure free medical treatment for those injured in road accidents.

Speaking at the House of Representatives on Tuesday, he highlighted a bus accident that occurred in the morning while traveling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga, injuring 17 people.

Khatiwada stated that many injured individuals are struggling to afford treatment and called on the government to cover their medical expenses.

“I demand that the government provide free treatment for all accident victims,” he said.

Additionally, he pointed out that making the national identity card mandatory has caused difficulties for senior citizens.
