Gold price hits record high

As of today, fine gold is being traded at Rs 171,300 per tola, the highest price ever recorded in Nepal.

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in Nepal has surged to a new all-time high.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 500 per tola on Tuesday, setting a new record.

As of today, fine gold is being traded at Rs 171,300 per tola, the highest price ever recorded in Nepal.

Previously, gold had reached a peak of Rs 170,000 per tola.

On Sunday, the last trading day, gold was priced at Rs 170,800 per tola.

Meanwhile, silver prices have dropped by Rs 15 per tola, with the metal trading at Rs 1,970 per tola.

On Sunday, silver was priced at NPR 1,985 per tola.
