Bus en route to Ramechhap overturns in Dhulikhel, 17 injured

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu-bound bus heading to Ramechhap met with an accident this morning in Dhulikhel.
The incident occurred at BP Highway, Sharda Batase, in Dhulikhel Municipality-10.
According to Assistant Constable Rudra Lamichhane of the Kavrebhanjyang Temporary Traffic Police Post, the bus (Bagmati Province-3-01-005 Kha 9942) lost control and overturned into a roadside ditch at around 8:20 AM.
A total of 24 passengers were on board, with 17 people, including the driver and co-driver, sustaining injuries.
The injured have been rushed to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.
Both the driver and co-driver suffered serious head injuries.
Authorities have yet to identify the injured passengers.
Meanwhile, the bus remains on the road, causing one-way traffic movement on the highway.
The bus was traveling from Kathmandu via Dhobi and Dhande to Pokali in Okhaldhunga.
