No compromises in budget, location, and timeline for Laaj Sharanam: Producer Shrestha
The movie Laaj Sharanam is set to release on Feb 26, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri.

KATHMANDU: Producer of the movie Laaj Sharanam, Naveen Shrestha, has stated that he made no compromises regarding the budget, location, or timeline during the film’s production.
Naveen, who is involved in real estate and hotel businesses, is making his debut investment in cinema with this project. Previously, he had not invested in arts, literature, or films.
He shares, “I invested in this field after seeing the dedication and efforts of the Laaj Sharanam team. Now that I’ve entered, I won’t step back and will continue to invest in movies.” Despite the slowdown in his real estate business, Naveen is determined to continue his involvement in the film industry.
He further mentions that films can also serve as a medium to bring foreign money into Nepal. “Just as foreign films take money out of Nepal, we too must bring dollars from abroad. To do so, we need to create quality films. We must all think in this direction,” says Naveen, stressing the importance of collaboration among artists, producers, and the government to bring foreign revenue into Nepal’s film industry.
