KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) MP Devendra Paudel has accused the government of instructing the disconnection of power lines for those who pay electricity bills, rather than for those who don’t.

He raised this accusation during the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday.

Paudel also criticized the Energy Minister, claiming that the CEO of the Dudhkoshi Hydroelectric Project, Bimal Gurung, was punished for speaking out against him. He mentioned the rumors about the removal of Kulman Ghising, questioning what mistake Ghising had made in creating a “bright Nepal.”

He highlighted that Kulman Ghising had transformed the loss-making Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) into a profitable entity.
