Prachanda stresses preservation of Nepal’s cultural heritage during flag hoisting

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the country’s cultural diversity and historical heritage.

This morning, while hoisting the national flag in the lowland area of Kachankawal, he appealed for the conservation and promotion of heritage for the construction of a better society.

During the Maoist Terai-Madhesh people’s awareness program, Chair Dahal, along with senior leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Agni Sapkota, and Deputy General Secretaries Birsman Pun and Janardan Sharma, reached Kachankawal’s monument and hoisted the flag.

Dahal is also scheduled to launch the campaign from Kachankawal’s Hukkahukki Chowk Baniani today.

The campaign, which began in Jhapa, is expected to conclude in Kanchanpur, as confirmed by the party’s Jhapa in-charge, Ranjit Tamang.
