Trump confident in U.S. efforts to end Ukraine conflict

KATHMANDU: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that Washington can successfully negotiate an end to the Ukraine conflict.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt made the statement, emphasizing that the president and his team are focused on continuing talks with both sides to bring an end to the war.

Leavitt also mentioned that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is engaged in discussions with Ukrainian officials regarding a proposed agreement on the use of raw minerals.
