HoR meeting scheduled for today as well

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives is set to convene today at 1 PM.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will present the 34th annual report of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for the fiscal year 2080/81.

Similarly, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak will table a proposal for deliberation on the Armed Police Force, Nepal Bill, 2081.

Meanwhile, lawmaker Sher Bahadur Kunwar will draw attention to the plight of impoverished and marginalized citizens in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, who have been deprived of free healthcare services due to a lack of federal and provincial government grants. In response, Minister for Health and Population Pradip Paudel is scheduled to address the matter. Lawmakers Dayal Bahadur Shahi and Pushpa Bahadur Shah will seek further clarifications.

Likewise, MP Rajendra Bajgain will highlight the destruction of crops and security concerns caused by the increasing menace of monkeys and wild boars in rural Nepal. He is set to present an urgent proposal, stressing the need for policies to ensure agricultural security, wildlife management, and environmental balance. Lawmakers Uday Shamsher Jabara and Sanjay Kumar Gautam are expected to support the proposal.
