Lebanon ends four Nations Women’s Championship with consolation victory

KATHMANDU: Lebanon concluded its Four Nations Women’s International Football Championship campaign with a consolation win, defeating Kyrgyzstan 2-0 at Dasharath Stadium today.

Kristy Malouf opened the scoring for Lebanon in the 13th minute, while Mia Rose Mehanna doubled the lead in the 22nd minute.

Kyrgyzstan suffered defeats in all three of its matches, losing 1-0 to Nepal in the opener and 5-0 to Myanmar in the second game.

Lebanon also faced two losses earlier, falling 3-1 to Myanmar and 1-0 to Nepal.

The league’s final match between already-qualified teams Nepal and Myanmar is set to take place later today at 6 PM.
