KATHMANDU: National Assembly MP Urmila Aryal has emphasized the need to strengthen Nepal’s economy instead of relying on other countries.

She highlighted the importance of mobilizing national resources to create employment opportunities.

Speaking during today’s special session of the National Assembly, Aryal stressed the need for transparency in budget allocation and the proper utilization of grant funds.

She also pointed out that Nepal should focus on building a self-sufficient economy rather than depending solely on foreign employment and remittances.

Meanwhile, MP Sharada Devi Bhatta demanded justice for Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepali student studying at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Odisha, India.

She called for an end to violence against women, expressing deep sorrow over the deaths of Nirmala Panta, Prakriti Lamsal, and Rinku Kumari Sada.

Bhatt also stated that opposing the recently issued ordinances was inappropriate and urged all stakeholders to work together for their approval.

Additionally, she objected to a recent statement made by House of Representatives MP Gyanendra Shahi regarding the National Assembly.
