Gautam urges Former King Gyanendra to pursue democratic path for Prime Ministership

KATHMANDU: National Assembly member Bamdev Gautam has advised former King Gyanendra Shah to abandon his desire to become king again and instead pursue a democratic political path to become the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the National Assembly session on Sunday, Gautam stated that political party leaders had failed to bring progress, development, and prosperity to the country, making the idea of restoring the monarchy inappropriate.
He suggested that former King Gyanendra should give up his aspirations to regain the throne, establish a democratic political party under his leadership, register it with the Election Commission, and contest the 2084 elections.
Gautam urged the former king to win the elections, become the Prime Minister, and work towards Nepal’s all-around development and prosperity.
Furthermore, he accused members of the royal family of being involved in the murder of King Mahendra at the Deyalo Bungalow in Chitwan and the destruction of King Birendra’s lineage, claiming that these actions were orchestrated by royal family members.
