Pyuthan couple murder case: Killed with hammer strike

KATHMANDU: Pyuthan police have confirmed that the elderly couple found dead inside their home in Mandavi Rural Municipality-2, Ratmate, were murdered with a hammer.

According to DSP Dipesh Basyal, chief of Pyuthan police, a bloodstained hammer was discovered about 50 meters away from the house.

The victims, 60-year-old Ram Bahadur Pariyar and his 56-year-old wife, Hukuma Pariyar, had severe head and body injuries.

A trained sniffer dog has been brought from Bhairahawa to assist in the investigation, and authorities have begun questioning suspects.
