No flights at Resunga Airport throughout this month
The last Nepal Airlines flight from Tamghas to Kathmandu took place on Mangsir 24.

KATHMANDU: Flights at Resunga Airport will remain suspended throughout Falgun due to technical issues with Nepal Airlines’ aircraft.
According to Suman Thapa, head of Nepal Airlines’ Resunga office, the airline’s small aircraft, which had been operating flights, encountered mechanical problems. “One aircraft was already out of service, and the other developed an engine issue. It is currently undergoing repairs in Kathmandu. Since we need to import parts from abroad, the process is taking longer. There is no possibility of flights resuming in Falgun,” Thapa stated.

Since the airport’s inaugural flight on Baisakh 3, 2079 BS, only 90 flights have been operated in nearly 20 months.
According to station in-charge Thapa, 1,165 passengers have traveled from Tamghas to Kathmandu, while 1,088 have flown in the opposite direction.
The aircraft has a seating capacity of 19 passengers per flight.
Despite flight operations, only three staff members are stationed at the airport.
