Barcelona reclaims top spot in La Liga with dominant win over Las Palmas

KATHMANDU: Barcelona secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Las Palmas on Sunday morning, propelling them back to the top of the La Liga standings.

The match, held at Las Palmas’ home ground, saw goals from Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres.

Olmo opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 62nd minute, while Torres sealed the win with a goal during injury time in the second half.

With this win, Barcelona now sits at the top of the table with 54 points from 25 matches.

Las Palmas, with the same number of games played, remains in 17th place with 23 points.

Atletico Madrid follows closely in second with 53 points, while Real Madrid occupies third place with 51 points from 24 games.

Real Madrid will face Girona in their 25th match on Sunday.
