KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the authorized distributor of Changan and futuristic Deepal EVs in Nepal, has inaugurated Deepal’s new state-of-the-art showroom in Pokhara’s Chauthe today.

MAW Vriddhi, through the Himalayan Organization, has launched the new showroom to provide customers in the Gandaki region with a first-hand experience of Deepal’s intelligent and futuristic electric vehicles.

The new Deepal showroom was jointly inaugurated by Bindu Kumar Thapa, Minister for Social Development, Youth, and Sports of Gandaki Province; Karan Chaudhary, President of the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA); Dhurba Thapa, President of the Himalayan Organization, Changan’s Pokhara dealer; and Sandeep Chatterjee, Consultant of the MAW Group. On this occasion, the regional launch of the world’s first transformer SUV, the Deepal E07, also took place.

To mark the opening of the new showroom in Pokhara, MAW Vriddhi has kicked of a five-day test drive and exchange camp starting from Saturday.

During this period, EV enthusiasts in the Gandaki region will have the opportunity to test drive Deepal’s futuristic and intelligent EVs, including the Deepal E07, Deepal S07, and Deepal L07.

The test drive camp, titled ‘Test Drive the Future,’ offers customers free diamond coating, a Free 7 kW charger and accessories, attractive cash discounts, and the best valuation for old vehicles from top recognition houses, along with an unparalleled exchange bonus.

Additionally, everyone who test drives a Deepal EV will receive a gift from Deepal.

At the inauguration event, Gandaki Province Minister Bindu Kumar Thapa emphasized the equal importance of sales, service, and spare parts in the automobile sector.

He also highlighted the significance of the availability and pricing of spare parts.

Similarly, NADA President Karan Chaudhary stated that Nepal has made significant progress in electrification, with 72% of total vehicle imports being electric vehicles.

He mentioned that Deepal, which is currently performing well in Nepal, has been gaining the trust of customers. He also noted that Deepal’s Pokhara showroom offers the design and performance that the market desires.

Deepal EVs come with over 15 first-time features, including a welcome seat, sunflower touchscreen, augmented reality head-up display, gesture control, headrest, and outdoor speakers, among others.

These features have contributed to the sale of over 700 units in the Nepali market so far.
