159 Nepali students returns home from KIIT

KATHMANDU: Following unrest over the suspicious death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), 159 Nepali students have returned home via the Raxaul border.

Assistant Chief District Officer of Parsa, Suman Kumar Karki, confirmed that the students arrived on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, youth in Birgunj held a candlelight rally the same evening, demanding justice for Prakriti Lamsal and Rinku Sada, a Siraha district resident who was murdered after being raped.
