Safety gear distributed to workers & consumer committees in Malika

KATHMANDU: In Malika Rural Municipality, located in Western Myagdi, essential safety equipment has been distributed to members of the consumer committees and workers involved in the Prime Minister’s Employment Program.
The distribution covered all seven wards of the municipality, benefiting 14 consumer committees and workers.
A total of 14 projects under the Prime Minister’s Self-Employment Program are being implemented across the seven wards, with two projects in each ward for the fiscal year 2081/82.
These projects include the construction of public toilets and footpaths.
As part of the safety initiative, workers and consumer committee members involved in these projects have received helmets, gloves, boots, jackets, and other protective gear.
Employment Assistant Milan Subedi highlighted that the provision of this safety equipment aims to ensure a safe and organized working environment, enhancing the effectiveness of the programs.
