KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) Politburo Member and Constituent Assembly Member Bidur Prasad Sapkota’s mortal remains have been placed at the party’s central office in Aloknagar for final tributes.

Sapkota, who passed away on Thursday, was undergoing treatment when he succumbed to his illness.

Former Prime Ministers Madhav Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal visited the central office to pay their respects.

Sapkota, 59, was elected from Kavrepalanchowk Constituency No. 4 during the second Constituent Assembly elections in 2070 BS.

The party expressed sorrow over his death and offered condolences.

Party General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal recalled Sapkota’s contributions and pledged to ensure his legacy reaches the youth.

Chair Nepal honored Sapkota by draping the party flag over his body.
