Police constable dies after falling from cliff in Baitadi

KATHMANDU: A police constable has died after falling from a cliff in the Baitadi district.

Lokendra Bahadur Khadayat, a constable stationed at the Simar Police Post in Dulasaini Rural Municipality-3, died on Wednesday evening while returning to his office from his home.

Khadayat, who lived in Baril, Shailyashikhar Municipality-1, Darchula, sustained severe injuries after falling from a cliff on his way back.

He was rushed to Gokuleshwar Hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors, according to the District Police Office of Baitadi.

Police have initiated further investigation into the incident. The body of the deceased has been kept at Gokuleshwar Hospital.
