Bus plunges 200 meters in Kavre, one dead, two injured

KATHMANDU: A bus accident in Temal Rural Municipality-3, Kunduwal Khola, Kavrepalanchowk has left one person dead and two others injured.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 8817), returning from Dhading after dropping off wedding attendees, veered off the road while reversing at a turn and plunged approximately 200 meters at around 5:40 AM on Thursday.

Ram Singh Tamang, 50, the owner of the bus and a resident of Temal-1, Bhaise Pani, died on the spot.

The driver, Krishna Blon, 50, from Bagmati Rural Municipality, Makwanpur, sustained serious injuries and has been taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.

According to Indra Adhikari, Ward Chair of Temal-1, the bus was en route to its regular queue when the accident occurred.

The injured were immediately rescued and transported to Dhulikhel Hospital for medical care.
