Prime Minister’s National Talent Award 2081 announced
The announcement was made at the main ceremony held at the Army Pavilion, Tudikhel.

KATHMANDU: On the occasion of National Democracy Day 2081, the government has announced the Prime Minister’s National Talent Award 2081 to honor exceptional citizens contributing significantly in the fields of peace, good governance, innovation, scientific research, and development.
The announcement was made at the main ceremony held at the Army Pavilion, Tudikhel.
The award recipients include Dr. Chiring Lama (Sindhupalchok) for Telemedicine, Dr. Biraj Singh Thapa (Morang) for Science and Technology Innovation, record-breaking mountaineer Purnima Shrestha (Gorkha), and science and technology innovators Abhas Maske (Kathmandu) and Hariram Shrestha (Gorkha).
Additionally, Dr. Om Murti Anil (Mahottari) was awarded for the medical field, Sabitra Bhandari (Lamjung) for sports, Ravindra Puri (Bhaktapur) for heritage preservation, and Dilshobha Shrestha (Kathmandu) and Ramji Adhikari (Gorkha) for social service and human welfare.
The awardees will be presented with the honor in a special ceremony. Established in 2075 B.S. following a decision by the Council of Ministers, the award aims to encourage talented individuals in the field of innovation.
The Prime Minister’s National Talent Award Fund was created with a contribution of USD 100,000 from the Government of Korea and Rs 10 million from the Nepal Government, with a decision to award Rs 500,000 to two individuals annually.
The first awards were presented in 2076 B.S. in two categories, but distribution was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
