President Paudel emphasizes democracy’s role in national unity
President Paudel paid heartfelt tribute to all known and unknown martyrs and expressed deep respect for the leaders who guided the democratic movement.

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed confidence that democracy will further strengthen national unity by ensuring social justice, equality, harmony, and prosperity.
Extending his best wishes on National Democracy Day 2081, he stated that democracy upholds the principle that the people are the ultimate source of state power.
Honoring those who sacrificed their lives for democracy, President Paudel paid heartfelt tribute to all known and unknown martyrs and expressed deep respect for the leaders who guided the democratic movement.
He urged all representative institutions, political parties, and state bodies to uphold constitutional values.
Reaffirming Nepal’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, national interests, and dignity, he hoped that Democracy Day would inspire progress toward lasting peace, good governance, development, and prosperity.
National Democracy Day is observed annually on Falgun 7 to commemorate the historic 2007 BS revolution, which led to the end of autocracy and the establishment of political freedom and human rights.
