Petition submitted to Sports Minister demanding action against Nepal Scouts Director Bhattarai
Warning of protest if demands are not fulfilled.

KATHMANDU: A petition has been submitted to the Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary, demanding action against the Director of Nepal Scouts, Ram Prasad Bhattarai.
On Tuesday, the Nepal Scouts Reform Campaign presented a four-point demand to Minister Chaudhary, calling for an investigation into the controversial director Bhattarai.
The campaign has raised concerns about alleged misconduct, including abuse and sexual harassment, in Bhattarai’s work environment.
The reform campaign has urged that an investigation be conducted into these allegations.
Furthermore, it demands that Bhattarai be suspended until the investigation is completed, with disciplinary action to follow based on the findings of the inquiry.
The campaign has issued a seven-day ultimatum for the fulfillment of these demands. If the demands are not met within this time frame, the campaign has warned of protests and other forms of agitation.
