MP Panta criticizes House conflict, calls for mutual respect (video)

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmaker Raghuji Panta has expressed concern over one parliamentary house passing a motion of disapproval against a statement made in the other.

Speaking at Monday’s House of Representatives session, Panta said such conflicts between the two houses could undermine the parliamentary system.

He warned that if such disputes escalate, they could weaken both the bicameral legislature and democracy itself.

Pant also criticized the notion of labeling the National Assembly as an “old-age home,” stating that such remarks were disrespectful and inappropriate.

He emphasized the need for harmony between both houses, urging lawmakers to respect each other and avoid actions that fuel division.
