Restaurant gas explosion: Another victim dies, bringing death toll to 3

KATHMANDU: Another person has died from injuries sustained in a gas explosion at the Shandar Momo restaurant in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.

The victim, 22-year-old Pradeep Tamang from Udayapur’s Udayapur Gadhi-7, passed away on Friday afternoon around 2:30 PM during treatment.

According to SP Apil Raj Bohora, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police, Pradeep had been undergoing treatment at the Kirtipur Burns Hospital.

Two other victims had already died earlier this week, and 11 people were injured in the explosion.

The condition of the other injured individuals is still being monitored as treatment continues.
