School bus crash: 27 injured discharged, one taken to Medicity

KATHMANDU: A total of 27 injured individuals have been discharged following a tragic school bus accident in Sankhu, Shankharapur Municipality-5, on Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred when the school bus, belonging to Chabahil-based SS Academy (Ba 2 Kha 7958), reportedly suffered brake failure while returning from a picnic in Nagarkot.

Three people lost their lives in the crash.

According to SP Apilraj Bohara, spokesperson for Kathmandu Police, 16 others are still undergoing treatment, with one in critical condition.

The critically injured patient has been transferred to Medicity Hospital for advanced care.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
