Austrian coalition govt. talks fail between Far-Right Freedom Party & Conservative People’s Party
The People's Party secured second place with 26.3%, while the Social Democratic Party followed with 21.1%.

KATHMANDU: Negotiations to form a coalition government in Austria have collapsed after talks between the far-right Freedom Party and the conservative People’s Party failed.
The Freedom Party had been in discussions with the People’s Party since January, aiming to establish Austria’s first government led by far-right factions.
In the September Austrian parliamentary elections, the Freedom Party emerged as the leading party with nearly 29% of the vote.
The People’s Party secured second place with 26.3%, while the Social Democratic Party followed with 21.1%.
