‘Bulbul’ to release on MSM App on Valentine’s Day 2025

KATHMANDU: The critically acclaimed Nepali film Bulbul, which originally premiered in theaters on Valentine’s Day 2019, is set for a digital release on MSM App on Feb 14, 2025.

MSM App is accessible worldwide on mobile, Google TV, Android, Amazon Fire Stick, Samsung TV, LG TV, Apple TV, Hisense TV, Video TV, Roku TV, and computers, allowing viewers from all backgrounds to easily watch their favorite films.

Producer Aviral Thapa stated that Bulbul is being re-released due to high demand from audiences who missed it in theaters, both in Nepal and abroad.

The app also provides transparency, enabling filmmakers to track viewership and revenue in real-time.

The film stars Swastima Khadka, who won multiple awards, including the SAARC Film Festival and the National Film Award, for her stellar performance.

Director Binod Poudel also received accolades, and Bulbul represented Nepal at the 92nd Academy Awards. It was featured in several international film festivals.

The film also stars Mukunda Bhushal, Laxmi Bardewa, and Deepak Chhetri. Mukunda made his feature film debut with Bulbul in 2019.

The same team has produced Bhootan, starring veteran actor Haribansha Acharya, which is set for release on April 54, 2025 (Baisakh 12, 2082).
