KATHMANDU: Due to the negligence of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), the pipeline of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project ruptured, causing flooding in Babarmahal, according to Minister for Drinking Water, Pradeep Yadav.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when the pipeline burst and submerged Babarmahal.

Minister Yadav stated that the NEA’s failure to coordinate with the Ministry and Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Limited (KVWD) led to the disaster.
