Pedestrian dies in micro hit

KATHMANDU: A 65-year-old pedestrian, Ram Bahadur Upadhyaya of Aaptari, Bharatpur-2, died after being hit by a microbus (registration number NA 4 Kha 5497) while crossing the road in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, Chitwan.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, and the victim suffered severe injuries.

Despite receiving treatment at the Old Medical College in Bharatpur, he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday afternoon.

The police have taken the microbus driver into custody and are conducting an investigation into the accident.
