Nepal Gas Industry halts protest for 15 days after govt. talks

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Gas Industry Association has called off its planned protest following discussions with the government.

Following talks between gas business owners and the government, the protest has been postponed for 15 days.

The Nepal Gas Industry Association had previously warned that it would halt gas sales and distribution if its demands were not met.

However, after the government assured that all demands would be fulfilled within 15 days during today’s meeting, the protest was called off.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Industry with the participation of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Minister Damodar Bhandari, officials from the Nepal Oil Corporation, and representatives from the Nepal LPG Gas Industry Association.
