National Youth Association Nepal to hold 10th National Convention in April

KATHMANDU: The National Youth Association Nepal, affiliated with the CPN-UML, has scheduled its 10th National Convention for the end of April.

General Secretary Suman Puri informed district committees about the decision made during the central committee meeting on Jan 26, urging them to proceed with necessary preparations and coordination.

The UML had instructed its sister organization to complete the convention by mid-April.

To facilitate the convention, the Youth Association has directed all district conventions to be concluded by mid-March.

If any district fails to meet the deadline, the convention will be conducted under the leadership of the district in-charge, Puri stated.

The association has also decided to nominate three secretaries—Balram Belbase, Kuber Adhikari, and Nisha Limbu. Additionally, Sagar Bhatt has been appointed as a secretariat member, while Birendra Chaulagain, Bikram Gurung, Renu Tamang, and Birendra Bhatt have been inducted into the standing committee.

Furthermore, the Youth Association has assigned new in-charges for its provincial committees:

• Koshi Province – Niroj Poudel
• Madhesh Province – Mobin Alam
• Bagmati Province – Mahesh Chaulagain
• Gandaki Province – Parbat Bhandari
• Karnali Province – Sharda Pachaien
• Sudurpashchim Province – Binay Shah
• Special Province Committee – Balram Belbase

The association has also made adjustments in the leadership of 35 different departments.
