CM Acharya inspects under-construction Lumbini Provincial Hospital

KATHMANDU: Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya inspected the under-construction building of Lumbini Provincial Hospital on Tuesday.
During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the project.
“This is a prestigious project for the province. The government has given it top priority as it will significantly contribute to the overall development of the region,” CM Acharya stated. “No obstacles should hinder the progress of the work.”
The provincial government has allocated Rs 1.80 billion for the hospital building in the current fiscal year.
CM Acharya noted that the progress so far is satisfactory, with 28% of the work expected to be completed within this fiscal year.
The construction, undertaken through the Provincial Infrastructure Development Authority, was initiated with a budget of Rs 6.18 billion.
The authority had signed a contract with Indian firm Cap Site Ashish Religrate Venture and Nepalese company Ashish Religson on Jan 11.
According to Site Engineer Shankar Subedi, the project has achieved 13% physical progress within five months of commencement.
As per the contract, the 12-story hospital building must be completed by mid-January 2029.
