KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmaker Ishwar Bahadur Rijal has stated that the parliament is a forum for dialogue, not confrontation.

Speaking during a special session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Rijal emphasized that the parliament should not be used to incite conflicts. “Parliament is a place of law, not stubbornness,” he said.

He asserted that the parliament is a platform for responsible and accountable discussions, not chaos.

He urged opposition parties not to turn the parliament into a space for baseless arguments but to uphold its role as a place for regulation and governance.

“Parliament is a forum for dialogue, not conflict. It is a place of law, not obstinacy. It belongs to responsible lawmakers, not anarchists,” he stated.

Rijal also criticized opposition leaders for allegedly misinterpreting and spreading false narratives, such as equating a rope to a snake.
