KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has refused to register a writ petition related to the conservation of Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung.

Supreme Court Registrar Bhadrakali Pokharel dismissed the petition, citing an ongoing legal dispute on the same matter.

The court stated that a previous writ petition filed by Indra Kumar Limbu on Feb 15, 2021, on behalf of Kirat Yakthung Chumlung, is still under consideration.

Additionally, a supplementary petition has been submitted on the same issue, leading the court to reject the new filing.

The dismissal order mentions that the four-year-old petition is scheduled for a hearing on Wednesday.

Laxmi Tamang, representing the Indigenous Lawyers’ Association, had filed the latest petition seeking an interim order to halt the cable car construction process.
