KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Company has successfully concluded its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting, chaired by Board Chairman Govind Lal Sanghai, was held on Monday.
The AGM approved the annual progress report for the fiscal year 2080/81 and endorsed the financial statements, including the auditor’s report, balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement.
Additionally, the meeting appointed an auditor for the fiscal year 2081/82 and determined the remuneration.
Shareholders approved a total dividend of 21.05% on the company’s paid-up capital of Rs 8.20 billion. This includes a 10% bonus share and an 11.05% cash dividend (including tax).
Chairman Sanghai emphasized the company’s commitment to structural reforms, institutional governance, robust internal controls, technological advancements, and customer-centric strategies.
He highlighted Nepal Life’s focus on decentralization, training, research, and new marketing strategies to enhance its market position despite challenges in the insurance sector.
As of the end of Ashoj 2081, Nepal Life’s total investments stood at Rs 215 billion, with a life insurance fund of Rs 208 billion and a shareholders’ fund exceeding Rs 12 billion.
