KATHMANDU: A contempt of court case has been filed against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Advocate Om Prakash Aryal registered the case at the Supreme Court on Monday.

Aryal accused Oli of failing to implement the directive order issued by the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court regarding the Tea Estate case.

He claimed that instead of enforcing the verdict, obstacles were created in its execution.

The case has been filed against both Oli and Minister for Land Management Balram Acharya. The court has scheduled a hearing for Feb 16.

The Supreme Court’s Constitutional Bench had delivered its verdict on the Giribandhu case on Feb 7, 2024.
