KATHMANDU: Kathmandu police have arrested two individuals for misbehaving with on-duty officers during a routine patrol.
The incident occurred on Magh 24 in Thamel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26, when the suspects allegedly assaulted the police after being warned.
According to Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson, SP Apilraj Bohara, the suspects—Dinesh Sigdel from Taplejung and Ramesh Phulara from Dadeldhura—were apprehended near Tribhuvan International Airport on Magh 27 (Sunday).
They also vandalized a police motorcycle during the altercation.
The duo is being investigated under public misconduct charges, with the Kathmandu District Administration Office extending their custody for five days.
They are currently held at the Durbar Marg Police Circle for further inquiry.
