KATHMANDU: A month-long grand festival is currently taking place at the sacred site of Devghat in Tanahun.

The festival has been organized to raise funds for the construction of the Devghat Divya Dham and the Mata-Pita Sewa Ashram, which aims to provide a secure, well-facilitated, and spiritually enriching environment for elderly parents.

Held at the confluence of the Kali Gandaki and Trishuli rivers, the festival began on the first day of the month of Magh and will continue until the end of the month.

Devotees have been gathering in large numbers daily to participate in the spiritual celebrations.

The Devghat Divya Dham and Mata-Pita Sewa Ashram, initiated under the vision and leadership of Ishwarkrishna Maharaj, founder of the Vishva Jagaran Maha Abhiyan Trust, are expected to make significant religious, social, and cultural contributions, according to the trust.
