KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has emphasized the need to resolve the ongoing dispute over the construction of a cable car to Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung through peaceful dialogue.

Speaking to the media after Friday’s parliamentary session, Dr. Mahat highlighted the importance of designing the cable car project in a way that preserves the traditions and culture of the local community.

He expressed confidence that constructing the cable car would boost economic activities in the area, benefiting the local population.

Dr. Mahat also pointed out that an increase in tourism would promote local products and create job opportunities.

He assured that the government is working towards resolving the ongoing debate between proponents and opponents of the cable car project.
