KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Limited has successfully conducted financial literacy programs in Madhesh Province, targeting remittance recipients and individuals preparing for foreign employment.

Organized in collaboration with BIFCAP Nepal, the program saw the participation of 103 individuals.

A certified financial literacy trainer from Nepal Rastra Bank, Mr. Suman Raj Subedi, led the session, providing valuable insights.

The initiative aimed to enhance financial awareness and empower the target groups with essential financial knowledge.

On Feb 3, the bank conducted a financial literacy program in Dumbarwana, Ward No. 15, Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City, Bara, specifically for remittance recipients. A total of 51 local men and women participated.

Similarly, on Feb 4, another session was held in Naukatola, Balewa, Ward No. 1, Birgunj Metropolitan City, Parsa, focusing on youths preparing for foreign employment, with 52 participants.

The program covered various financial topics, including banking services, digital transactions and security measures, income and expense management, remittance channels, savings and investment strategies, and grievance handling.

Siddhartha Bank has consistently prioritized financial literacy by conducting similar programs and branch visits for various target groups.
