Nepal falls short against Thailand in Women’s T20I Tri-Series final

KATHMANDU: Nepal struggled with the bat in the final match of the Women’s T20I Tri-Series, posting a modest total against Thailand.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal managed just 81 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Opener Samjhana Khadka was the top scorer with 17 runs off 29 balls, including a boundary.

Kavita Joshi added a quick 14 off 12 deliveries, hitting a four and a six.

Captain Indu Barma was dismissed for 10, while Rajmati Airee remained unbeaten on 11.

For Thailand, Onnicha Kamchomphu was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Chanida Sutthiruang, Nattaya Boochatham, and Suleeporn Laomi took one wicket each.
