Speaking at the event, Minister Paudel highlighted the rising number of kidney patients due to unhealthy diets, pollution, and other factors.
He emphasized that the increasing prevalence of kidney diseases poses a significant challenge to the healthcare system. He also stated that the hospital’s initiative to start dialysis services is a positive step in addressing this issue.
Minister Paudel appreciated the involvement of the private sector in supporting the government’s healthcare efforts, stating that such collaborations are crucial in improving healthcare accessibility.
Dr. Prakash Paudyal, ICU specialist and director of Nepal National Hospital, shared alarming statistics, stating that one in every sixteen adults in Nepal suffers from kidney disease.
Considering this growing concern, the hospital has introduced dialysis services in the Kalanki area to provide essential treatment for kidney patients.
He further explained that once a patient requires dialysis, they face significant physical and financial burdens, which also impact their families.
He assured that Nepal National Hospital is committed to offering affordable and quality dialysis services to ease the difficulties faced by kidney patients.
