HoR meeting underway

KATHMANDU – The meeting of the House of Representatives has commenced, with lawmakers expressing their views during the emergency session.
The government’s proposed ordinances have been removed from today’s agenda, which were previously scheduled for discussion and approval.
According to Federal Parliament Secretariat spokesperson Ekram Giri, a revised agenda is yet to be introduced.
As per the scheduled discussions, Finance Committee Chairperson Santosh Chalise will present the committee’s report on the Safe Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2081.
Additionally, the committee report on the Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill will be tabled.
State Affairs and Good Governance Committee Chairperson Ramhari Khatiwada will present the committee report on the Anti-Corruption (First Amendment) Bill, 2081.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to present the Annual Report of the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission for 2079/80.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present the Semi-Annual Review Report on the Implementation of the Budget and Programs for the Fiscal Year 2081/082.
Former Prime Minister and Chair of the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ is scheduled to address the meeting.
Additionally, Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Paudel will also deliver remarks.
Reports related to corruption and safe transactions will also be tabled in the session.
