KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane appeared before the Chitwan District Court on Wednesday following the formal registration of a case against him in the Sahara Chitwan Multipurpose Cooperative fraud scandal.

According to the Chitwan District Police Office, around 400 Nepal Police personnel and 200 Armed Police Force officers have been deployed around the court premises and nearby areas to prevent potential unrest.
