KATHMANDU: Rescue teams have recovered all 67 bodies from last week’s fatal mid-air collision between a helicopter and a passenger jet in Washington, D.C., according to U.S. media reports.

Authorities have identified 66 of the victims so far.

The Unified Command reported that crews are still working to remove large aircraft debris from the Potomac River.

Efforts will soon begin to extract wreckage using a Black Hawk helicopter.

The jet, carrying 64 passengers, collided with a military helicopter while attempting to land at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday night.

This marks the deadliest aviation disaster in Washington, D.C., since 1982.

The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation into the crash.
