Gas cylinder explosion in Kamalpokhari, 14 injured

KATHMANDU: More than a dozen people have been injured in a gas cylinder explosion in Kathmandu’s Kamalpokhari.

At least 14 people were injured in a gas explosion that occurred around 8:45 am on Thursday.

Eleven of the injured have been taken to the hospital, while three are in critical condition, said Senior Superintendent of Police Shekhar Khanal, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.

According to him, the gas cylinder exploded at a Sandar Mam shop.

It is understood that the injured are also workers of the same shop.

The condition of one of the injured is critical.
