Prachanda to address parliament today
He had remained silent during the inaugural session of the summer session but will speak in the second meeting today.
KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) parliamentary party leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is set to address today’s House of Representatives meeting.
He had remained silent during the inaugural session of the summer session but will speak in the second meeting today.
On the opening day of the session, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba had addressed the House, but Prachanda had not spoken.
Today’s meeting, scheduled for 1 PM, will table six ordinances for discussion and decision.
Maoist Center’s Chief Whip Hit Raj Pandey had earlier requested the Speaker to let Prachanda speak, as time had been secured three days ago.
Prachanda is expected to respond to PM Oli’s recent remarks, as opposition parties continue their strong protest against the government’s ordinances.
