Bagmati Assembly discusses four bills & one returned by Province Chief

KATHMANDU: The Bagmati Provincial Assembly today initiated discussions on the principles of four amendment bills and one bill returned by the Office of the Province Chief.

During the session, on behalf of Minister for Health and Population Kiran Thapa Magar, Minister for Labor, Employment, and Transport Prem Bhakta Maharjan presented a bill to amend the Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences Act, 2019.

Similarly, Minister for Youth and Sports Meena Krishna Maharjan introduced a bill to amend the Province Sports Development Act, 2018.

Minister for Industry, Land, and Administration Shukmaya Tamang tabled bills to amend the Province Industrial Business Act, 2019, and the Provincial Trade and Business Act, 2019.

Likewise, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Prakash Shrestha proposed discussions on the Province Agriculture Development Bill, which was returned with remarks by Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota.

Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, Bhuvan Kumar Pathak, adjourned the session for 45 minutes.
